The inhabitants of Carpenter Cove discover their strange town is actually a construct in the mind of a killer. Shane, the sheriff, wants to get back to his real life but one dark connection between him and the killer is going to make him rethink everything.

Headspace was a comic that Ryan K Lindsay and I created together in 2013. We were fortunate enough to get it distributed on Comixology by Monkeybrain comics. Although I initially intended to do all the artwork myself, my commitments to another series prevented that from happening. So we brought on Sebastian Piriz, Marissa Louise and Dee Cunniffe to do the sequences in the real world, while I handled all the sequences that took place in the mindspace.
I’m not terribly happy with a lot of the art in the series. I was working on this and Last Born at the same time, while also working a day job. The artwork suffered because of this. But by producing so many pages around that time in my life, I learned quite a bit and walked away from this project a better artist.
The best thing that came out of this series was that I developed a friendship with Ryan. It’s because of Headspace that we eventually created Eternal, which I consider a career highlight.
